I’ve been pretty busy at work lately and spending quite a few hours away from home. Last Thursday evening, Brian and the girls came to Albion so we could have dinner together. I was wearing my lab coat when they arrived. My two older girls came running up to me and said, “Mom, what are you wearing?” Well, I always have my lab coat on, so it kind of took me by surprise. I guess they don’t see me wearing it ever, even though it seems more a part of me than not. They said that I look like Albert Einstein. That was cute. This morning, we were talking about it and I showed them the lab coat that I have at home from my clinical days. Hayley says, “Mom, that’s just freaky.” Hmmm, I guess it never has been hip to be a nerd. Oh well, what do you do? I guess being the embarrassing Mom starts earlier than I anticipated!

You look really hot in that picture...one day your girls will realize what a cool mom they have. I don't know many moms who have their Masters degree in Chemistry! Smarty pants! Love ya!
