What do you say?
So, I have a friend that doesn’t like to be asked if everything is okay. That’s kind of a standard question for me to ask people, so I’m not really sure how to approach her. Today, she yelled at me for even asking if she was doing okay. So, my question is what do you say? Is asking if everything is okay rude? For most people, I would just ask what they thought was appropriate, but with her I never seem to do anything right, so I feel awkward even asking her what it is that she expects. I’ve always been somewhat socially retarded (see lab coat blog below) so I could really use some suggestions!

So I'm pretty much like you. I think the lab coat is cool, and I never really know what to say to people. Maybe you could just ask her how things are going. Or what she's been up too.
Holy cow Jen, someone really yelled at you for asking if they were okay? Umm, first I would say..."geez, get a grip!" Then I would say...well there are many things I would like to say to someone who yelled at my sister...do you want me to call her and ask if she is okay? Then I can tell her myself...
