Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a success. Hooray! How could it not be when the kids collected enough candy for a year in one night? It turns out that even though quite a few kids don’t know who Wonder Woman is, most adults do. I told Ryeley that Mira’s mom told me she could “totally tell that she was Wonder Woman”. She got this great big smile on her face. I laughed and asked her if she liked her costume. She laughed too and said “Yes!” Whew! Thanks, Amber.

Trunk-or-treating, I think, is one of the best things ever invented. My kids came to my work and trick-or-treated the offices and then went to the trunk-or-treat. That’s it. There was none of the traditional having to hoof it around the neighborhood and actually work to get the candy. Speaking of traditions, I miss being at home with my mom and visiting all of the grandparents on Halloween. When I was a kid, one of our traditions was to meet at my grandma’s house with all of the cousins and break a piƱata.

Here are some pictures of my beauties on Halloween. Hayley was a vampiress, Ryeley was Wonder Woman and Jaycey was Tinkerbell. Brian didn’t dress up, so I told him he went as Oscar the Grouch. I went in my true form as an ogre! :o)

Holy cow my nieces are getting too big! I can't believe Jaycey! They all look so awesome. You should tell Ryeley that I was wonderwoman one year...I even wore my wonder woman costume in the Hyde Park Parade one year.
Jen, your hair is getting long, you look fantastic. Brian looks...the same, but still radical.
I love and miss you guys so much!!

Cute costumes. Like I said, my family would have recognized Wonder Woman.
